My experience has been this......on a coin, they can be iffy on deeper ones. On gold, it always locks on or barely bounces which not the way with coins. I have dug thousands of holes and if its iffy...

Differences......

If l buy a new machine, what if any differences will l find, as opposed to buying a used one? Warranty is one which goes without saying, but l was thinking more along the lines of improvements.

Rex, The current new machines have a grand total of two (2) differences... A new battery sand seal, and a new armrest lock mechanism. That's it. The sand seal is primarily for people who water hunt,...

yeah 10 x 5 was a flop , really stock coil has 10 x 5 covered , really I cant think of a coil I need stock and 6" seem to have it covered and if they are 400 $ each then I sure 100% would need it to...

I use both. Make sure your o-ring isn't too thick, you should be able to have both making secure contact, otherwise there is no point of using the second.
