My CTX is in the shop for that very reason. Stuck on the welcome screen and none of the buttons worked although I was able to hunt by listening to the tones. Turned it off and on several times and it was still stuck. I did not try a factory reset prior to sending it in. If I were you I would try that BEFORE sending it to Kellyco. Minelab sends all the CTX's to Kellyco for repairs. My machine has been there for three weeks now. They never answer their phone...I have left 3-4 messages and still have not got a return phone call. We had a week long beach trip planned very soon and it's not like I get to go on vacation very often. Feel like my right arm is useless without the 3030.
