Big Tony said Sure, I too enjoy reading your posts. First of all congratulations on a good hunt. So you missed these before using target trace?

These coins were covered in iron 2 to 4 nails on either side or below just know what I'm listening for now .It was a section I had hunted earlier I know more now than before:smile: .

Here's one that I found a merc dime high tone with grunt one way 90 degrees grunt using pinpoint sizing I was able to isolate the two targets that were almost touching .There was a nail with a dime on the tip of it also some adjacent nails which did not help . The dime was off the tip of the nail when I got the 2 targets separated and new where the high tone was coming from I could get the target trace to read 12.43 which dimes come in for me.

The thing is this target was like a nail you get your false or real hit go to pinpoint and get draw en with the length of the nail away from the high tone you had marked on the ground and think it was a nail false .But when turned 90 degrees to the target could get a 12.43 with iron grunts from near by iron . It was easy after I could isolate the 2 targets because I new where they were .

As I said before these targets were only 4 inches deep some had up to 4 nails directly below the coins which really messed with the id but that high tone was there and Lot's of iron noise to go with it .

There's Lot's of falsing going on here so it payed to check them out the machine is amazing at what it can sort out you just have to know what to listen for . I also check these targets with nails disc out some signals were a lot better with open screen the signals were more separate from each other compared to using some disc . With that little bit of disc some high tones got clipped and were harder to tell from a false but they were still there but clipped ..

All I can say is I love pulling coins from iron will you work out a spot NEVER unless you dig it all . Things also change in the ground from frost to thawed out every year which well show different coins from year to year .

Keep a eye on those falses and check them out there not always iron you have the machine to tell you what you want to know just got to listen to what it's telling you . sube
